I'M MARILYN


I was born and raised in Atlanta and spent my college years at the University of Georgia. I currently reside in Atlanta with my sweet husband, David.

Being a full time photographer is an absolute dream, and I am so blessed to get to do this everyday! It brings me pure joy to be able to do what I love while making so many people happy.


My editing style is true to color. I am a lover of light, timeless elegance, and black and white photos. It is so important to me that you are able to look back at your photos years later and still feel that they are beautiful and timeless.


A few things I love in life: sushi, golden retrievers, fall mornings, afternoon boat rides at the lake, an aperol spritz, walks on the beach, and Sunday brunch.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN


For years, I used to travel with my small digital camera. I would take picture after picture of buildings and landscapes - see below. My love for photography continued to grow along with my love for travel. Finally I bought my first Nikon DSLR camera in middle school. It came alongside me on countless travels within the US and to Europe, it inspired countless photo shoots with my friends, and it led to my knowledge and foundation of my photography today. In High School, I was Editor of our Yearbook, and mentored by my Yearbook advisor, who was a professional photographer.


Fast forward a few years, in 2019 I started taking photos of friends and began taking graduation photos, engagement photos and more. Over the past 5 years I have photographed hundreds of sessions, taught myself everything I know, and now do branding and wedding photography. My love for photography continues to grow as I learn more. I am proud of where I am and how I got here, and excited for what is to come.

What type of sessions do you do?

My portfolio ranges from weddings to branding shoots, to newborn and more! If you have a need, please reach out!

When will we get our photos?

I am always just as excited as you are to see the final product. I try to get regular sessions back within 2-3 weeks. For weddings, the final gallery will be done within 6-8 weeks, with a 48 hour sneak peek!

How many photos do we get back?

I don't believe in setting a number! I want to give you back as much as I can. It truly ranges on how long our session was.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in Atlanta, GA. Traveling is one of my favorite things, so yes, I would love to travel to take your photos if I am available! Please note, there is always an extra charge for travel outside of Atlanta.

What if I don't see the type of session I want?
